UP to 400 new jobs will be created as part of a $58 million residential development due to spring up five kilometres west of Adelaide’s CBD.
The residential, gated community of 102 homes will be built on a 3.5 hectare site that fronts the River Torrens in Allenby Gardens.
Galbraith Developments launches the Riverside project today and civil works will begin within the next two months on the three-stage project said the developer’s Alan Keller.
“Stage one will be 10 homes, we’ll start building furtherest away from Linear Park and move inward,” he said. “The three bed townhouses will be the lowest prices, larger homes will be up to $780,000 (including land).”
Adelaide’s Hickinbotham and Statesman Homes will oversee the complete design to delivery process Mr Keller said.
“Hickinbotham are the most efficient and most reliable builder in SA. Michael Hickinbotham has the full range of capability in his organisation. When there is uncertainty in the market you just feel you want to have the strongest,” he said.
The development will be built upon what has been a bare paddock and will complement the adjoining River Torrens Linear Park, Mr Keller said.
Stage one, with just 10 houses, will be ready within 18 months said Mr Keller who expects the entire development to be completed in round three years.
The designer homes will feature single and double-storey town houses, duplexes and larger family homes and are priced from $499,950 (home and land).
